2020 Julia Green Read-A-thon
Read-A-Thon is an 11-day-long reading marathon that takes place from January 24 – February 3, 2020. Students read as many books as they can during this time to help improve their literacy skills. Read-A-Thon has always been a time honored, child-driven fundraiser for all kindergarten through fourth grade students at Julia Green Elementary School. Last year, students took pride in reading over 40,000 books during Read-A-Thon to achieve levels of reading recognition.
We would love for all students to sign up at least one financial sponsor. Write your sponsor names and pledge amounts in your RAT booklet. All donations can be made online! You can also make a donation by check (made out to Julia Green PTO with Read-A-Thon in the memo line). Please return all sponsor donations on Tuesday, February 4th in your RAT sponsorship envelope.

How You Can Participate:
Read with your child during Read-A-Thon! Winter is a great time to snuggle up with a good book. Encourage them often, and have fun!
Record books daily in book log and return to school each day. Don't forget to sign off on the books your student has read!
Encourage honest participation! Literacy is something that will stick with your student forever. Encourage them to read books on their level.
