Julia Green "At Home" Field Day
We’re excited to announce that Julia Green will be participating in the OPEN National Field Day event on Friday, May 8th!
We are hoping this will be a fun way to connect and continue the JG Field Day tradition during these challenging times. All events are designed to be done at home (either indoors or outdoors) using common household items.
Here’s how it will work:

Our school is now registered as a participant in the OPEN (Online Physical Education Network) National Field Day event.

-
Families can choose to register as well, but it’s not a requirement.
-
You can also access via Mr. Norris’ Clever Page by selecting the National Field Day link
-
Your family will be asked to choose a minimum of 4 events to complete on Field Day. However, you may complete as many events as you’d like to.
-
Download a family participation packet for a full description of the events and an equipment list.
-
On May 8, you can participate in your chosen events at home and complete an official score card,
-
Please share photos and videos on Instagram and/or Flipgrid. On Instagram make sure to tag @pe_juliagreen, @jghornets. Use Flipgrid/juliagreen (password is jg1) to access the National Field Day Flipgrid for Julia Green
-
After the event, your student can submit their scorecard by emailing it to Alfred.norrisiii@mnps.org or posting a picture of the completed scoresheet to the Flipgrid
-
Every JG student that completes at least 4 events will receive an OPEN National Field Day certificate.

We appreciate your cooperation and are hopeful that your entire family will use it as a fun and meaningful way to be physically active together and with our entire school community.
Stay well,
Mr. Norris
