Read-a-Thon (RAT) 2024 is right around the corner and we’re getting ready to
Rock and Roll at Julia Green!
But first, an epic event needs an epic logo. Want to help? Read on!
All Julia Green students (K-5) are invited to design and submit an original logo for RAT 2024. Drop it in the RAT Contest folder outside Ms. Watkins’ Room by Monday, December 4.
The winner will be announced in the December 14th edition of the Hornet News with special recognition at the RAT opening assembly.
If selected, your logo will appear on the official RAT 2024 t-shirt, RAT prizes and materials, this website, and more!
Contest Requirements:

Paper is in vertical format
-
“Rock & Roll and READ” theme is recognizable
-
Design must include the following words:
-
“Read-a-Thon”
-
“2024”
-
“Julia Green Elementary”
-
-
Design must be outlined and colored in with solid black marker
-
Be creative!
-
Print full name, grade, and homeroom teacher on the back
Important Read-a-thon Dates

December 4th | RAT Logo design submissions due

December 14th | RAT Logo winner announced via Hornet News

January 8th | RAT t-shirts go on sale
-
January 12th | RAT t-shirt sale ends

February 2nd | RAT begins at 3:30 p.m.!

February 4th | Parnassus event, 4-6 p.m. Dr. Davis will be reading at 4:45 p.m.

February 6th | Counting Day #1- Students bring booklets to school
-
February 9th |Counting Day #2- Students bring booklets to school
-
February 12th |RAT ENDS @ 7:30pm
-
February 13th | FINAL COUNTING DAY (Counting day #3)-Students bring booklets to school

February 16th |Closing Ceremony
