Dr. Andy Davis, Principal

Dr. Davis received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond, and his Master of Arts in Teaching from Belmont University and later, an administration endorsement from David Lipscomb University. In 2013, Dr. Davis received his Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Strategic Change, also from David Lipscomb. Dr. Davis came to Julia Green from Hunters Lane High School where he served as an Assistant Principal. He taught English for five and half years at Hillsboro High School, where he also coached girls’ soccer and was the English Department Chair. Prior to entering the education field, Dr. Davis worked in the private sector for eleven years in multi-family property management. Outside of school, Dr. Davis enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.

William Johnson, Assistant Principal

William Johnson is a native of Nashville where he attended Metro Schools. He graduated from Tennessee State University and earned a degree in interdisciplinary studies with certification to teach with a concentration in mathematics and science. He later earned his education specialist degree from Tennessee State University in 2005. Mr. Johnson began his educational career teaching at Hull-Jackson Montessori Elementary School in 1997. His thirteen years of elementary classroom instructional experiences range from first grade to fourth grade, some of which were multi-aged classes. In 2010, he became an Assistant Principal at Hunters Lane High School and came to Julia Green in 2014. Mr. Johnson’s educational philosophy is that all children can learn with engaging activities that are relevant and intentional for the student. He has confidence that caring teachers, family support, quality instruction, appropriate assessments, and progress monitoring will bring success and achievements. When he’s not at JG, Mr. Johnson enjoys nature, exercising, running and spending time with his family and friends.
